ENWA

Small Waterworks

Enwa projects and builds waterworks and water treatment plants for small municipalities, large villas, hotel complexes, resorts and similar settlements.  We have more than 30 years of experience with needs assessment, analyses, and solutions for different types of water sources, such as municipal water and water from various natural resources - even from the sea.

When seawater is the water source, reverse osmosis is used to produce drinking water at a cost of less than three to four NOK per 1000 litres. This method is used on islands and in coastal areas. Groundwater wells in coastal areas often have high salt levels and deliver brackish water. Reverse osmosis is often used to provide a satisfactory quality of drinking water under these conditions as well. The systems that produce drinking water from sea water are delivered in a range from 1500 to 150 000 litres per day.

Surface water often has a high level of colour because of humus. Enwa delivers membrane-based technology systems to remove the humus, and includes necessary pre- and post-treatment, ie. disinfection.

In ground water, the level of CO2 often must be reduced, the level of oxygen increased, and the pH level adjusted. Sometimes, the water must be alkalized or fluorides, radon, and arsenic require removal. Enwa has a good solution for all ground water treatment.

In all raw water sources, there is a need for filtrate which can treat the water before usage. The characteristics of each raw water source are vital for deciding which water treatment solution is best suited. Only a water analysis of the raw water is able to tell you what needs to be done with the water.
